The New York Times calls Berlin the “graffiti capital” of the world. Ever since the colorfully painted Berlin Wall fell in 1989, graffiti and street art adopted intriguing new meanings in Germany’s capital. This talk illuminates how recent German films capture graffiti as meaningful forms of expression for minorities living in Berlin.
